dknyprgirl:

Mae West once said
“It’s better to be looked over than overlooked”.
(I think she secretly worked in Fashion PR).
What can I say, Fashion motivates me to get
out of bed every day. I often think,
“Who’s the lucky outfit going to be?”.
I can’t explain it any simpler than if I look good,
I feel good, plain and simple.
I know you’re focused on your tan right now,
but a new FALL season is upon us.
Are you ready?  Get on it or you’ll
be the sorry one when they tell you
your size is no longer available.  #JustSaying
So this Fall, why not arm yourself with
a few “MAJOR” pieces.
It’s the difference between opening your closet
and yawning or opening your closet
and being inspired to put yourself together.
I’ve done the pre-work for you and
this is what I have bought so far for Fall:
1.  A Cape.
You can’t possibly have too many of these right?
A cape is the ultimate statement.
It’s basically like wearing a sign that says
“I am super confident and oh p.s. I have amazing taste”.
2.  A Proper Dress.
I’m not re-inventing the wheel here,
but I do think it’s something you wear A LOT
and as such a new one can only add value.
So think sexy librarian- totally covered but body enhancing.
Perfect for work and into cocktails later.
3.  A Jumpsuit.
Ok let me guess.
You can’t wear a jumpsuit
because you aren’t Catwoman. Think again.
This is not Halle Berry’s jumpsuit.
If a chic chiffon top and a skinny trouser pant had a baby,
this would be it.  This is a must try to believe. #Trust
4.  The Perfect Jacket.
I am loving the classic tweed this season
because the leather trim toughens it up just the right amount.
Wear it with jeans, over the above jumpsuit
or with a frill chiffon mini.
This could be the most versatile piece you own.
(Apply Fashion Math here).
Cost of jacket ÷ by # of times worn= actual price of garment.
5.  The Red Pant.
Your sea of black pants called and they want a new recruit.
Yes red. A red pant tells people you
aren’t afraid to take a chance.
It shows you’re trend conscious and fashion ‘aware’.
The red pant is the glass half full pant.
It’s the happy pant even when you’re not.
It plays well with other children
(black, camel, charcoal, navy etc).
Oh and finally and most importantly,
it’s really, really, #Chic.
So really you have two choices. To take a chance on
some unknown kids or not. I say go for it.
You deserve it and when you find yourself waking up
every morning wondering who the lucky outfit is going to be,
you’ll thank me.
Good thing you know where to find me….
